Take-off or Landing
Chewing gum or sucking a mint will help you to prevent your ears popping. Buy some devices available with pharmacies which are designed to help prevent the pain caused by changes in cabin pressure.

Relax
For less chance of getting disturbed by a chatty neighbour or by cabin staff, carry an eye mask.

Action
Move around as much as you can on your flight. This prevents deep vein thrombosis. Drink plenty of water to keep you hydrated on your flight, as cabin air is very dry.

Alcoholic drinks are more intoxicating at altitude. This may result into a hangover when you land. So avoid alcohol.

Jet lag

Refresh
During a stopovers on a long-haul flight, refresh with a shower. This can really wake up your circulation and get things moving.
